Stoats Farm Caravan & Camping – Site Etiquette

Our Terms and Conditions

In order to maintain quality and to comply with health & safety regulations would you kindly read the following:

When arriving at Stoats Farm please register at reception before pitching up, unless pre-arranged otherwise. No arrivals after 9-30pm, unless prior arrangements have been made. Tents, caravans and motor homes with pre-booked hook- ups please check with reception before pitching on a hook- up.

Please keep the pitch tidy, with a minimum of equipment outside. The electric hook- up points are for sensible use only. This does not include electric awning heaters and other household electrical equipment. Please do not use candles in awnings, caravans or tents.

*For your own health and safety never put a BBQ  inside your tent.

Car/Caravan Insurance

Cars are only to be driven between the site entrances and your pitch. Our speed limit is 5 mph; please comply with this as young children may be on the site road.

Road traffic act laws apply to the whole site. All cars and caravans and motor homes must be fully insured for fire, theft and damages, and are left on site at owner’s risk. The campsite proprietors will not accept any liability for loss or damage. We regret we are unable to accommodate commercial vehicles, except with prior arrangement.

Sanitation & Refuse

Please leave toilet block, showers and washing-up area as clean as you would wish to find it. Chemical waste water is only to be emptied at the designated place. Refuse to be bagged (we offer free black sacks at reception) before placing in receptacles provided. There are 6 double wheelie bins on site; all rubbish can be placed in any of them as it is recycled after collection. Dog waste should be disposed of in the specific marked red bin.

Please do not wash clothes, pots and pans in toilet block hand basins. Please no washing of cars or caravans on site.

Fires & Barbecues

No camp fires are allowed, however if you have a fire pit or brazier, charcoal or gas barbecue these are allowed providing they are off the ground in order to protect the grass. Please ask at reception for a stone slab, if required.

Our brick built barbecues are free to use.

Please note the whereabouts of the fire extinguishers, on the upper area they are in the red fire point box, between the brick BBQ’s. On the lower camping field they are in the red fire point box in the middle of the field.

Any emergencies should be reported to reception or the farmhouse when closed (Farmhouse number 01983 755838).

Dogs are very welcome at Stoats Farm, however we would ask they are kept on a lead at all times and are cleared up after. We have another (unused) field, just up the road, which you are welcome to use to exercise your pet/s and where, at your own discretion, they can be let off their leads. Please ask at reception for directions.

Noise & Nuisance

Musical instruments, radios and televisions etc. should be used with consideration to others. Please note all noise must be curtailed by 10-30pm and not used before 8-30am.

Children should be supervised by parents/guardian at all times and children 5 and under must be accompanied and supervised in the toilet block.

Thank you!
