Painting & Photography

There are so many coastal and river scenes to capture that the West Wight has become an internationally renowned haven for artists. It has a rich history in photography and the Julia Margaret Cameron museum, dedicated to one of the world’s finest photography pioneers, is at Dimbola Lodge in Freshwater Bay.
It is no coincidence that many of the world’s most celebrated artists have chosen to make the West Wight their home. One of whom is Hilary Thorpe whose work you can view at www.hilarythorpe.co.uk
